I love being a Lion and I think anyone who wants to be actively invested in the academic community would thrive at LMU. I enjoyed my time at U of M's School of Education. The workload of the program was often unmanageable for me, and I can't imagine how hard it would have been if I had been caring for children, as many of my classmates did.
Housing is terrible. The only critique I have is that LMU really enjoys taking their time on a lot of topics, but if you are adamant about getting things done it'll be a quick process, you just personally have to be proactive. I thought the professors were excellent and the program was good, but a huge gap was the lack of time spent diving into our internship experiences and discussing what we saw/what we learned/what questions we had.
