We were in an club room with access to the lounge and found the room of excellent size and quality and the food and drinks in the lounge of very high quality and equal or better than any other 5 star hotel.The quality of service everywhere was superb however must mention the girls in the exec lounge who were polite, efficient and very friendly during the evening and breakfast.......I had left my phone in a hotel in Queensland and got it couriered to The Duxton however it did not arrive before my flight to the UK and a special mention must go to the concierge guys, especially Scott who went above and beyond the call,of duty to get it back to me in the UK.........well done guys......the sign of a true 5 star hotel.

My tv remote didn't work,....no big deal I thought!I called the staff, a gent arrived confronting me saying show me, show me it doesn't work!Murphy's law and the bloody thing worked.So instead of being understanding that things like remotes can be a little temperamental, he continued to stand over me in my own room saying, show me, show me!The rudeness of this young man made me very angry indeed, I asked him to get out of my room (not in those words) immediately, as he stood there pointing at the tv saying show me, show me it doesn't work.Shortly after he left, it didn't work,...all I could do is laugh.This man was a rude young so and so and I'll never stay here again.He'll see it differently, and it wasn't about the remote, it was his crap attitude that has ruined a potentially good relationship.
