St. Giles Cathedral is located at Parliament Square, along the Royal Mile, in Old Town, Edinburgh. Enjoyed a visit there whilst exploring the Royal mile, well worth a visit and i am not the least bit religious but was impressed non the less. So you can imagine that St Giles’ Cathedral is at the heart of Scottish history and culture. A typical Gothic building, the tower resembles a crown, with beautiful interiors and exterior carvings, brightly colored stained glass windows, and a tall organ. The vastness of St Giles compared to the individual is phenomenal and what makes it even more fascinating is that this was built hundreds of years ago without the modern methods of building we have today.
