Next time I will just call it a smoothie bowl and add some extra frozen fruit and granola on top.

If you want it less thick, try adding a bit more almond milk/milk of choice. by concentrating on just high protein I’m hoping this will have some impact on my weight. Super Green Smoothie Bowl Avocado, spinach, kale, and plenty of fruit will keep you humming for hours. We also found that Adriana was so much easier to travel with at 3 years old. For those without powerful blenders though I would recommend peeling it.

I did use a bit less water (a little more than 1/3 cup), but only because I like the thicker texture. I’m not big on smoothies myself. Boy, an experience like that really makes you appreciate the GOOD people in this world.

I love to freeze my leftover sour cream in a silicone mini muffin tray.

Hey Kathy, I think coconut butter would pair nicely with these flavours for sure, although it’s not high in protein (only 1g protein per tbsp).

Hey Laura, Oh so glad the fresh turmeric worked out! I can’t stop making this!! I also have a 15month old boy and I am a bit fearful of our first flight with him too.. but we have lots of parent friends who’ve gone through it (with stories like yours haha) so it helps put our minds at ease a bit more. The cashews would of course make the recipe not nut-free, though. Oh, I’m so happy this smoothie bowl won you over! Anti-inflammatory ginger is great for digestion, and avocado lends this smoothie bowl a thick, creamy texture. so am no expert. Enjoy the smoothie if you make it! Serve any leftover dressing on the side. Oh man.

Hey Carmen, I use Manitoba Harvest hemp hearts as they’re Canadian but any brand will do! I devour a bowl every single morning lately (and chase it with a coffee or matcha to warm up…the best.). Blissful Basil.

I did substitute almond milk for unsweetened vanilla coconut milk and coconut peanut butter for almond butter since I had those. Smoothie bowls have been quite the sensation for a long time now, but I think this might be only the second smoothie bowl I’ve made. Since there’s no banana in this smoothie, I find that it can be made the night before without impacting overall flavour and texture the next day. And also…. I make a batch of your granola at least once a week, stored in a mason jar and whenever I turn around it is gone…. Good luck with the little one. How did yours go? I have tried a few of your recipes and am in love. Love it, will have to make it this week! Delicious! I smile every single time I see a new post in my inbox and I check the app regularly. ;) I’d love to hear what you think of the smoothie if you try it out. I’m also lactose intolerant. I’ve had this smoothie bowl every morning for the past 2 months. And congrats on that new Vitamix. I have been eating avocado toast just about every morning for the last 2 years, and your recipes have always proven themselves to be so incredibly delicious so I decided to venture out beyond my avo toast comfort zone.

I have seen lots of recipes on Pintrest… maybe will try. It was good while it lasted, I have to say. On the bright side, this crazy time has given me the nudge to start something I’ve wanted to do for a while now: shorter, more easygoing blog posts. I put some homemade nutty granola on top. Time seems to tick by so slowly too. Does it just take some getting used to? (And this smoothie, of course.) It’s my favourite one so far. If you’d like a portable smoothie on-the-glow, feel free to thin it out with more liquid and pour into a thermos for easy drinking.
