They could both tear eachother in half. However in reality here's a size comparison. I believe the shark to be more manoeuvrable in the sea than a liopleurodon. And it can reach a size of up to 59ft...Look it up on Wikipedia... @madripoor: look them up on Wikipedia...They both reach a size of up to 59ft...!!!
How? Both equally scary but in a fight I'd have to say Megalodon is the king of the sea. I think the Megalodon would take the firs bite to the Mosasaur's fins. That scaling isn't right, the megalodon is much larger and much more agile. I can’t think of many creatures that could swallow a human being whole in present times, except maybe a whale, but I can’t imagine whales suddenly swallowing people, unless they go on a revenge spree for all the whale hunting (killed for research purposes of course – which we all believe is true .
It had an bite force of 11-18 tons (108,514 to 182,201 newtons) while the Mosasaur's bite would be unable to do any serious damage to the much thicker body of the Megalodon. .
Megaladon would decimate very fast. The shark also has larger teeth, a stronger bite force and evolutionary adaptations to hunt whales that are similar in size to the Mosasaur here.
That's around 20+ meters. Simply put, I don’t think you would want to mess with that thing!
Megalodon have a bite with 110 tons of strenght. The keys factors that really matter in finding out who would win between the Liopleurodon vs. Megalodon would be: 1. 3. Apes are Close relatives of Homosapiens. It would just take one catastrophic bite for the Megalodon to end the battle. You stole "Your argument" directly from here. Anyone thinking mosa would beat a megalodon alone are either a ARK/jurrasic fan or something I dont want to say as it might insult people. Even if the mosasaur does get a lucky bite in, eventually it has to go to the surface to breathe, then the meg does a vertical climb and kills it. I'm not entirely sure with size equalized.
The Neogene period (the time in which megalodon was found) had other massive apex predators in the ocean that Meg had to deal with too, one being leviathan melvillei. They also would hunt in packs which would mean that the only defense that the Liopleurodon would have would be their speed with their paddle- like fins. Both can take each other. In contrast, a single bite from the Megalodon would one-shot the Mosasaur.
Also, it's rotund body shape means that the Mosasaurus will only be able to grab a flipper, while Megalodon's gape will allow it to bite down on the Mosasaurus body. If the Liopleurodon has prep it stomps. The picture of the megaladon reminded me of this from Strange Wilderness: Have to go with Mega-Shark over Super-Croc. The other has special jaw and teeth that act like a conveyor belt, forcing what they bits back into its throat and shredded apart.
i watch the learning channel so i can say cake yo. even if liopleurodon is bigger than megalodon, megalodon hunted large whales bigger than itself. Megalodon wins. They're both equalized in size. Megalodon stomps. This is almost a mismatch. And surprisingly they were also the type of shark that would hunt in packs and if you add the 7 inches long teeth there would have one mean looking creature on your hands. Megalodon would be far heavier at length parity, it has a large size advantage. @saint_of_origin: But mosasaur has got a more armour like skin...!!! Mosasaur 40% ... A Mosasaurus would not have been able to get its jaws around the much thicker body of the Megalodon. These four key factors will give you a good indication of who would win between the Liopleurodon vs. Megalodon. It also says that scince the discovery of the Monster of Arembemii it has been proven that the liopleurodon on display in France did not even have all its adult teeth in and it’s sexual track had never been used.
For many years scientists have wondered just who would win in the fight between the Liopleurodon vs. Megalodon but they have never really come up with a conclusion until now. @saint_of_origin: You're forgetting the biggest facor in megalodon's favor...it doesn't need to go to the surface to breathe, unlike the mosasaur. Unlike the Liopleurodon the Megalodon had several things that they did not. Didn't they say mosasaur lives close to the surface?
