Why Barbri thinks that a week and a half before the test is the proper time to tell us about test taking techniques, etc. It’s about half way thru the course - it’s the “Simulated MBE” book that came w the Barbri materials. I mean, you're only about 10% from what you need in order to pass so just focus on a couple percentage increase every week or so. Omg me too!!! I'm going to try to do 34-50 MBEs each night on Themis from here on out, but otherwise I'm doing what served me well for the past 3yrs of my life--as opposed to blindly trusting a passive, cookie-cutter approach to studying. I range between 70-75% on the 50 sets and the full/half day simulations.
Looks like the results for the MBE simulated exams are starting to come in. I watched the Barbri Simulated Exam Webinar today. I took it as realistically as possible and got around 70% correct but even that was only in the 60-something percentile which kind of surprised me. I averaged 67-69% on Adaptibar and something like 63-65% on Barbri. Instead of waiting to learn more about you as you work through the BARBRI Bar Review course, ISAAC will use your Baseline insights to deliver the most customized bar review experience available from day … Anyone else struggling with their score? In my persona study plan I have had these tutorial approach videos come up for every MBE subject but torts and I have answered all of the practice set problems and did the torts workshop as well. Hang in there, don't freak out if things don't seem like they're sinking in, and good luck! Areas like con law which i just learned and contracts were bad . I do find that I memorize my own flashcards that I hand write better, but going through Torts or crim a few times was almost just as good. You have to do what works for you. For my daily MBE tracking data leading up to the Feb. exam (the stuff not included on Barbri's charts and graphs), check out my profile. I got a 123 and I think that's usually right at or a hair above median. The whole "trust the process" thing might work for some people, but I don't think it worked for me. On one of the "details" for an assignment today Barbri finally stated to memorize.
Sitting at the 29th percentile and feeling pretty discouraged. Getting more and more comfortable with the possibility of making up laws. Parenthetical is Barbri average. The Barbri Simulated MBE is DESIGNED to light a fire under your butt so you really start getting after your weakness and building up your skills.
About a day before the bar exam I was getting 65%/70%.... and I ended up passing so you should be fine. I did notice the 3 scores i scored 60% in were the ones i studied on my own outside of barbri with adaptibar and really tried to learn deeply. I answered about 65% of the answers right, and ended up in the 47% percentile. I got a 110 and yeah, those percentile numbers are pretty terrifying. Currently, I am a decent amount below median. Does anyone else feel like they're in the same position at this late stage? Themis CA here too. The president of Barbri said that the first wave of people who took the test averaged at about 10 points higher than what they were expecting. I’m more worried about my percentile tank than score though, and presumably others that got a score higher than me are only going to continue to study too.
